Tanfield House, in the heart of Edinburgh's New Town has presented a number of Challenges to our contracts division.
Built in the early 19th Century, the developer is anxious to retain many of the building's original features.
At Skene Group we are able to provide the right solution, no matter how demanding the requirements.
At Tanfield, the two main challenges have been to retain the character of the building internally and externally, and to remove a considerable amount of material from the roof which has been the site of a roof garden...
...getting equipment on the roof was the first problem......
...then getting material off...the conveyor was fabricated in our workshop to meet the precise needs of the job.
Meanwhile, inside the building we are carrying out an extensive strip-out...while preserving the character of the internal features.
