On Saturday 27th May at Over Stenton Park in Glenrothes, five local teams all played each other in competition for the Skene Cup. The event was hosted by Glenrothes Strollers Colts and was sponsored by the Glenrothes based sand, gravel, rock and concrete company, Skene Group.

The teams were Cupar Colts, Young Fifers, Carlton Boys Club, Glenrothes Strollers and the Strollers Colts. All of the players have just finished off their under 13's league campaign and this was a chance to end the season with a trophy.

The competition kicked off at 10.00am and by the end of the day Carlton and the Strollers Colts team were joint leaders on 9 points each. The Colts edged it on goal difference, so the Carlton players all collected their runners up trophies from Jill Mason of Skene Group. She then presented the players from the Strollers Colts team with their winners trophies before handing the Skene Cup to their captain Dale.

Top goalscorer award went to Cammie, from the Strollers Colts. He had scored 5 goals in 4 games.

Fortunately the weather stayed dry and the whole event ran smoothly.
