A LOCAL boys’ football team have kicked off the new season with a major boost, thanks to the Skene Group Limited.
Glenrothes Strollers, who play in the Fife Football Development League, were presented with strips worth around ₤1000 by the Viewfield-based company, which supports numerous organisations and good causes throughout the area.
Said the team’s manager John Buchanan: "With a squad of around 18, it costs a lot to kit out the boys with strips and tracksuits, and we are extremely grateful to the Skene Group for their generosity."
The Strollers are pictured in their new strips with Jill Mason, the Skene Group’s financial director; coach Alex Wallace (left) and John Buchanan.
